Some of the other contributions were read at a Zoom session in Ledbury’s online Festival in July 2020. This poem was later made into a short film that is now on YouTube Thank you to everyone for their contribution. I have found these poems extremely resonant, and I hope you will too. Other ways of thinking about, or seeing, what is happening in this present time. Nonetheless, in reading these poems, I find reflections on, and insight into, my own experiences. I am aware, as many people are, that for people and places in the world, the challenges are huge and sometimes extremely harrowing, compared to my own. The event featured a fascinating selection of Lockdown inspired poems, including poets commissioned by LPF, Naomi Shihab Nye, Sarala Estruch, Suzannah Evans, Elaine Beckett and Kim Moore. On Sunday 5 July, at 12.30pm – 1.30pm, there was a Poetry of the Lockdown event as part of Ledbury Poetry Festival Online. In Virtual City Playground this area is a larger 9x9, but even so this area is so small that most of the time it will not be of use and supplemental Tech Stations will need to be built.Thank you to everyone who has submitted Lockdown poems. In Virtual City and Virtual City 2, the garage has a 6圆 square area around it, and any vehicles within this area will be automatically repaired, making the garage serve as a mini Tech Station. The garage has no bearing whatsoever on any of the metrics (environmental, happiness etc). This is only required when upgrading the garage however, as vehicles can always be bought by using their appropriate menus. The garage can be directly accessed at any time by pressing the home button in the toolbar. These buildings can still be upgraded and destroyed however. If a building is not connected to the garage via road a small 'no road' symbol will be displayed on the building, and any attempts to create a route with that building will cause the message 'Build the road first' to appear. In Virtual City Playground, the Garage can be moved for a fee of 200 city credits.Īll vehicles that are bought 'spawn' outside of the garage and for this reason all buildings have to be connected by road to the garage to be accessed by any vehicle.
